OH I have been so bad with posting lately! My sister has been in baby delivery drama for the past few weeks but the baby was finally born today! I was actually in the room. I’ve learned a few things after the experience …
1. Giving birth and watching a birth are such incredibly different experiences!
2. Epidurals are very important but they really don’t stop the epidural at the end - that is just the pain you can’t escape.
3. Husbands might like having someone with them during the waiting phase - someone to joke around with because the pregnant woman isn’t interested.
4. Mean nurses vs. nice nurses make a HUGE difference in the entire experience.
5. Bring lots and lots of water bottles.
6. Bring pillows, books, iPods, laptops - whatever necessary to make the time go by. Odds are the prego won’t allow the TV to be on.
7. Hospitals need to have internet connection.
8. Hospital food sucks no matter how good and fancy the menu looks.
9. Their coffee also sucks.
10. The end result is soooo worth it!!
Yipppee!! She finally had the baby. How sweet!! Now we need some pics.
