Date Night: Little Miss Sunshine

"The funniest and most gracefully written, acted and directed dysfunctional-American-family farce comedy of the year thus far."
~ Andrew Sarris, New York Observer
My parents had recommended this movie a few months ago and my husband and I finally watched it on our Saturday "Date Night". It’s really a good movie and I didn’t get bored once during it - which to me is a sign of a good movie. It got a 92% on Rotten Tomatoes which is pretty good! It is considered a "dramedy" - some very funny parts and some sad parts.
I love Toni Collette - I’ve loved her since Muriel’s Wedding! All of the actors were great and Alan Arkin won Best Supporting Actor for his role in this film. But I loved the performance by Paul Dano who played the teenage son, Dwayne.
