It hurts so bad growing out this damn pixie cut. Big chop was last August. I am now in that horrible phase of having so many different layers between ears and chin. Still too short to put up so I look like a mental patient that has escaped. It’s getting awfully close to a Carol Brady / mullet look. Am debating about trimming the bottom just a little by my neck. Oh it’s so painful growing out a pixie
Oh God .. is this where I’m headed??????

If you haven’t seen The Flight of the Conchords on HBO you are missing out. Funniest show I’ve seen in a long time. Their 2nd season started about a month ago but I watch the episodes on-demand because Sunday at 10pm is just too late for me!
I have to admit that I am one of the few people in American that has not watched American Idol this season. It is such a huge time commitment and I go to bed too early
I spent last night reading articles and forums on weight loss and health. Since I am still trying to lose my last 15 lbs it sure has been a struggle. I have been researching the benefits of using a colon cleanser. This is an important step to detoxing your body and getting rid of waste. My sister continually tells me that waste = weight! Many toxins build up in our intestines and colon so it is important to cleanse. The buildup of refined white flour and sugar, basically junk food can create a clogged colon. Colon cleansing and detox restore balance to the body so that you look and feel better. I have wanted to do this for months but haven’t gotten around to it - a bit nervous I guess.

So I haven’t been as consistent as I would have liked using my Hairtopia vitamins. Although I do think my hair is growing faster. There are just so many pills to take a day. The total regime is 10 pills per day. I do well with taking the 4 after lunch but I have been forgetting after dinner and before bed. I was even contemplating returning them because I was tinkering with the idea of keeping my hair short until my conversation with Allyson last night convinced me to grow my hair back out. I will get right back on today and be consistent.

My sister has been breaking out something awful on her chin lately. The breakouts don’t seem to go away. She told me last night that she is thinking of trying Proactive Solution even though the rest of her skin is pretty dry. Going through bouts of acne is not fun at all. She does need an acne treatment though. She really isn’t treating the acne at all - she just slathers on creams because her skin is so dry. I think she also likes the feeling of having moist skin so she probably moisturizes too much. With summer coming she is going to have to lay off some of the creams. Hopefully she will try the Proactive Solution and that will be the cure-all!

I really enjoyed having cocktails with my neighbor Allyson last night. She has let her hair grow out very long and it looks gorgeous. She has naturally wavy hair but straightens it with the blow dryer. No flat iron for her. She only does it a few times a week so it does last. She can’t dye her hair because she is allergic so she has to only highlight. She gave me some honest advice about my hair - grow it and stop coloring it red. It is super red now after using Spiced Tea by Natural Instincts. My hair is naturally a reddish medium brown. I have been told it is auburn but I can never seem to dye it auburn without it turning purple. I have read about Color Oops so I am seriously thinking of trying it. The reviews seem good but I am nervous!!

So I had cocktails last night with my sister and her neighbor, Allyson. We got into a lovely topic of what we would do if our husband’s died or somehow became incapacitated to provide. Fun topic huh?!? All three of us would be screwed because Allyson and I work part-time and my sister doesn’t work at all. We all have college degrees but haven’t done much with them from a career perspective. Allyson came up with the idea of us starting a cleaning franchise. I think that is a great idea. It is a service that is needed in this area. It is hard to find a cleaning service in our area - surprisingly! I’m not sure all of us could work together without killing each other but it might be worth a shot.
